HOW WE WORK

Brief, Visuals, Research & Development Your enquiry starts with an appointed account manager who takes your brief, branding information and any ideas/specifications that you may have along with quantity details. A quotation is provided and our Sockologists (designers and, if necessary our R&D team) produce artwork to meet your requirements in terms of design, functionality, and raw materials. Once reviewed and approved we create stitch definition (SD) artwork which is unique to your sock design and recommend best matched to Pantone yarns. This represents the final approval stage (if bespoke samples are not required) from which we move to manufacture.

Knitting We use the latest knitting machines which are monitored by our skilful technicians to manufacture your order. Our technicians are not only responsible for running the machines and maintenance, but they are also involved in quality excellence and efficiency.

Washing The washing process ensures your socks meet high standards, and for example will not shrink after the first home wash. We carefully control this process to minimise the usage of chemicals and water.

Boarding The boarding machine plays an important role to set sock sizes and is adjusted, per order, in relation to composition, sock and packaging style.

Embellishment We offer embroidery, tie dye and heat transfer options as a final process to further enhance your custom product/ heighten company brand identity.

Packing FSC and compostable packaging options are available and bespoke options vary from header cards to wrap bands and gift boxes.

Metal Detection We pass 100% of our products through the in-house metal detector before carton sealing. In addition, we also have procedures to control and record needle use within  production.

Quality Assurance Our Sockologists provide quality standards and measures to production per order to ensure the finished products meet all agreed customer requirements. And rather than standalone auditing, we encourage in-station quality control which means every operator has ownership of the product quality at each stage of production.

Creation through transformation

Future-friendly Hydrocycled® yarn regeneration reduces both the amount of waste produced and the need for new virgin material to be harvested.

Hydrocycled® yarns use wasted fibres of mixed fabric clippings, end of roll fabrics and expended materials as the raw components to minimise the consumption of natural resources. Our regeneration method delivers a knitting yarn that consists of approximately 80% cotton and 20% recycled polyester, which when pattern yarns and elastane for stretch are added, allows for the production of eco-friendly and hard wearing socks.
